The Eleventh Annual Conference of the Local Government Paralegal Association (LGPA) will be held October 3-5, 2007, at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Virginia Beach.  The cost of the conference registration is $125 per person.  This year’s topics will include code enforcement – blight, electronic records retention for the local government office, sovereign immunity, electronic case filing in the U.S. District Court, employment law and public guardianship.  The Honorable Meyera Oberndorf, Mayor for the City of Virginia Beach, will be our special guest at Thursday’s lunch.  LGPA’s annual meeting will be held Thursday afternoon at which time new officers and directors will be elected by the membership.  Later that evening, members will enjoy a reception and dinner held at Rockafeller’s Restaurant.
