The Local Government Paralegal Association of Virginia, Inc. (LGPA) is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the continuing education and professional development of paralegals employed by local governments throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. LGPA’s membership consists of paralegals from city, county, town, school district, and government offices, as well as paralegals employed in the private sectors who work in the area of municipal law. LGPA recognizes the unique responsibilities of the paralegal position in a local government office and provides a forum and network through which its members have access to continuing education and professional development in the areas of their practice and can exchange ideas and share professional experiences.
